We’ve been very busy on COVID-safe training with all our staff and have created a plan for everyone’s safety. Much of the plan is going on behind the scenes, but there are some things that all our guests can help us with and we’d like to share them with you. We're all in this together - and together we'll all be safe
Our vigilance starts even before the function begins. We will make contact with all staff and ask the organiser to contact all guests on the day before the function to confirm their health status. If anyone is showing symptoms we will replace staff and request that any guests displaying symptoms refrain from attending the function. If any guests display symptoms on arrival, they will be excluded from entry to the function unless they can demonstrate they have recently been tested negative for COVID-19
You will see plenty of signage at the venue including approved capacity numbers, recommendations for physical distancing, correct procedures for hand washing and correct hygiene practice. Our venue can safely accommodate up to 145 guests while still adhering to the 4-in-1 rule!
We’re also providing the wedding or function organisers free access to our wi-fi if they wish to provide live-stream coverage to any high-risk guests who have been unable or discouraged from attending.
You’ll notice that our tables are spaced at least 1.5 metres apart - more in some cases, and the tables have a maximum capacity of 10 guests. We’re also asking the function organiser to provide a seating plan listing members of the same family/household together for seating at the same table. Based on this information each guest will be assigned a seat and no seat swapping will be permitted.
We have put extra measures in place to maintain social distancing between staff wherever possible, and limited the congregation points in our service. We’ve also extended these measures to our guests - doing our best to eliminate congregation at places like guest books, seating plans etc. All close-contact activities, like photo booths, will be staffed at all times to ensure we keep everything cleaned and the flow of guests staggered. We’re also limiting ‘high-risk’ activities like public singing, farewell archways and such until restrictions have been lifted.
We have increased our isolation practices while serving, so not only does each guest have their own individual tableware and glassware as normal but now we also have no buffets or trays of canapés, communal condiments or water jugs as usual unfortunately.
In accordance with government regulations, our bar area will be closed to guest access and no drinks will be served to standing guests. All alcohol service will be to seated guests only. In addition, we will all practice Responsible Service of Alcohol throughout every function.
Of course our function staff and kitchen staff are on highest hygiene alert, not only with their own washing and cleaning practices, but also to ensure that all guests have access to adequate hand washing and sanitising supplies at multiple locations in the venue throughout the function along with plenty of signage to encourage you in your safe behaviour.
You may also notice throughout the function that high-contact points, such as internal and external door handles, bathroom surfaces, and external handrails, tables etc will be cleaned regularly.
We have carried contactless transactions throughout the venue with no cash payments taken at the functions and all additional purchase made by Eftpos only - with our machines being cleaned down after each use.
Finally, we’re encouraging folks to avoid bringing things like guest books, physical gifts or wishing wells to weddings but rather encouraging them to establish some digital alternative which guests can interact with from home. If you do see these items we will provide appropriate distance around them and provide a sanitisation station close by.
We’re committed to doing our part towards good contact tracing for everyone who has attended a function with us, so we’re asking the function organisers to provide a guest list with everyone’s contact phone number, along with the floor plan indication where and with whom they were seated. We’ll be keeping this information for a minimum of 28 days following the function along with contact names and phone numbers for all regular suppliers, contractors and delivery drivers. We will cooperate fully with NSW Health if contacted in relation to a positive case of COVID-19 at our workplace
